My top choice for the classroom is the ultra-fast, indestructible Inversé. The game is pretty good, but not good enough for me to recommend it for the home. However, as a classroom purchase this game makes so much sense. It will be around in 5 years with no broken pieces (actually blocks), and hopefully (because the 10 blocks are so big) you won’t have lost any.
There are also fantastic connections to curriculum (volume and area calculations.)
